The Dress

Finding a wedding dress wasn't the easiest thing in the world. My mom and I shopped for several weekends and couldn't find what I wanted, so off to Atlanta we went on Good Friday with my Aunt Reva. I looked and looked and couldn't find anything, then a small shop on Roswell was recommended............the minute I tried it on, I knew it was the dress I wanted!!!!!!!!

Barry the minister that married us, was at our couples shower. Barry has been a true blessing to us as he has helped our relationship grow in a more spiritual, christian direction. Reminding us to always keep God at the center of our marriage.
Another wonderful shower....hosted by our dear friends Marcy and Dale Ledford, for our friends from church.........we are so blessed with such a wonderful church family!!
Games!! Aunt Lisa always has activities at our family gatherings, this was no exception, plenty of games and the project.....everyone had to make a veil for me to choose, that I would wear to rehearsal........I saved them all they were all too cute!!!!!!!!!
Gifts Galore!! How wonderful.....but so glad I have a year to send out "thank you" notes!!!
This is Dawn again, taking care of the "gift table"

Another wonderful shower.....this one was given by my Aunt Reva, for my moms family......As you can see again, lots and lots of wonderful food.....my cousin Dawn is getting the punch ready!!

Cake, cake, cake....... a time when you want to look your best "the wedding day", but then there is all the delicious food at the showers.....very hard to say NO to cakes & sweets!!!!! This beautiful cake came from The Cake Gallery cakeofchattanooga.com
The FUN begins our first shower was in April. My sister (Suzie) gave that one, with all my dad's family. It was very nice and we got some wonderful gifts ....lots of kitchen "stuff".

The Proposal

We got engaged on Sunday, December 7, 2008 after two and half years of dating. Kelly proposed at our church near the former "singles house" where we first met at a financial planning Bible Study. I knew it was going to happen during the holidays, but this was a complete surprise. It couldn't have been anymore romantic Kelly dropping to one knee in an Alabama T-Shirt ----now those of you that know me, know I bleed ORANGE!!!! I still love him even though he has that Bama flaw!
