First Christmas card from The Taylors!!

Well we didn't kill each other getting the tree up...... Kelly put it up and then we both worked on lights and ornaments. We had a wonderful time decorating and reminiscing over ornaments we've had for many years....of course we bought plenty of new ones to start some new memories too!

Our first Snow.........maybe our only snow of the season we don't see much of the white stuff around here! Anyway it was nice our first winter together and we wake up to a beautiful covering of snow on Saturday, December 5.

A Treasure we found

We love going to Estate Sales and antique shops.....on one particular Saturday, we were headed to GA to an Estate Sale, the interstate was backed up so we went through downtown. We happened upon a sale off main street (of all places) and we found this nice chest and the BEST thing is we got a really great deal on it. Of course Kelly loves it because it is very old and dated, and he can tell you all about the woodwork and crafting that went into it. It was dusty and dirty and took us several hours to clean, but afterwards it looks beautiful, a few scratches but Kelly will take care of those!!
We are so happy, we had several rose bushes in front our new house, but they didn't seem to be doing good. We watered them and put plant food on them, and WOW they came back to life! I am sure all the rain has helped.

The Dress

Finding a wedding dress wasn't the easiest thing in the world. My mom and I shopped for several weekends and couldn't find what I wanted, so off to Atlanta we went on Good Friday with my Aunt Reva. I looked and looked and couldn't find anything, then a small shop on Roswell was recommended............the minute I tried it on, I knew it was the dress I wanted!!!!!!!!

Barry the minister that married us, was at our couples shower. Barry has been a true blessing to us as he has helped our relationship grow in a more spiritual, christian direction. Reminding us to always keep God at the center of our marriage.
Another wonderful shower....hosted by our dear friends Marcy and Dale Ledford, for our friends from church.........we are so blessed with such a wonderful church family!!
Games!! Aunt Lisa always has activities at our family gatherings, this was no exception, plenty of games and the project.....everyone had to make a veil for me to choose, that I would wear to rehearsal........I saved them all they were all too cute!!!!!!!!!
Gifts Galore!! How wonderful.....but so glad I have a year to send out "thank you" notes!!!
This is Dawn again, taking care of the "gift table"

Another wonderful shower.....this one was given by my Aunt Reva, for my moms family......As you can see again, lots and lots of wonderful food.....my cousin Dawn is getting the punch ready!!

Cake, cake, cake....... a time when you want to look your best "the wedding day", but then there is all the delicious food at the showers.....very hard to say NO to cakes & sweets!!!!! This beautiful cake came from The Cake Gallery cakeofchattanooga.com
The FUN begins our first shower was in April. My sister (Suzie) gave that one, with all my dad's family. It was very nice and we got some wonderful gifts ....lots of kitchen "stuff".

The Proposal

We got engaged on Sunday, December 7, 2008 after two and half years of dating. Kelly proposed at our church near the former "singles house" where we first met at a financial planning Bible Study. I knew it was going to happen during the holidays, but this was a complete surprise. It couldn't have been anymore romantic Kelly dropping to one knee in an Alabama T-Shirt ----now those of you that know me, know I bleed ORANGE!!!! I still love him even though he has that Bama flaw!

One of our first trips!! We went to Atlanta to celebrate Kelly's 34th birthday. This was high atop Stone Mountain.

Our love for one another began in May 2006. Kelly sent me flowers at work just to let me know how much he cared for me!

I put the " You are SOOooo sweet" message below them and sent him a picture!!!
